A native of the SF Peninsula, upon moving to Richmond in 2009, joined the Public Authority staff team in April, 2010. Christine brought to the PA 18 years of administrative and finance experience. She enjoys the diversity her job responsibilities and is happiest about working for a public agency that serves aging and disabled community members. Along with her fellow team managers, she enjoys assisting in refining the structure of the agency and aiding in the creation and implementation of agency policies and procedures. She says “Administrative team members are the glue binding the inner office workings together, and our team is just SUPER.” In her off time, Christine enjoys gardening, spending time in nature and time spent with her 4 dogs and one kitty, all of whom rescued her.

Rose Acampora was born with a genetic disability. She's never been able to walk and uses an electric wheelchair for mobility. When she turned 18 she moved to California to attend UC Berkeley and it is during her college years she learned to live independently. Ms. Acampora says, "It was the best thing I ever did”. She enjoys cooking with her providers and teaching them new kitchen tips and recipes. Between 1998-2007 she worked as a Program Manager and Executive Director for Easy Does It Emergency Services in Berkeley. Now she has an amazing job as the Program Manager for the Alameda County Public Authority for In Home Supportive Services helping others gain their fullest level of independence.

Education & Outreach Assistant
Meghann came to work for the Public Authority in February of 2015, after having worked for the Public Defender for a year and a half. She enjoys working with her co-workers and is proud of her administrative skills particularly her database skills. Her job is mostly office work, however she enjoys getting a chance to get out into the community when she visits training classes to deliver certificates. In her off time she enjoys spending time with her dog.

Artina received her social work degree from the University of California at Berkeley. She has experience working with immigrant families, seniors and children. She used to manage job training programs for limited English speakers and low income minority youth. During the summers, taught English to school children in San Francisco and worked as an arts and crafts instructor at a summer camp in Oakland. Artina is bilingual in English and Cantonese. She enjoys reading true crime stories and traveling around the world.
June came to the Public Authority in January of 2015. She started working in Social work in 1986 in a large non-profit. In 1997 she left and started her own Vocational Services Program after a few years decided to work for a local Welfare to Work Program, where she stayed for 14 years, during which she also trained and worked for American Red Cross. Specializing in Disaster Management, Mass Care and Recovery services. She has well over 80 certificates in a variety of subjects, each designed to increase her ability to assist the people that she has served. She is one of those lucky people that has always loved the job she had. Each job allowed her to assist people to move forward in positive and fulfilling ways. Now working with an amazing and supportive team at the Public Authority.
Jenny has been living in the United States for the past twenty two years. She is passionate about advocating for people and enjoys attending outreach events where she can help families navigate services. She is well known in the Hayward community for organizing parents of children with disabilities. She has a child with Down’s syndrome and she is familiar with resources. In her free time, she loves to dance, plan community events, speak Spanish and partake in creative arts.
Kathy is inspired by Bishop T.D. Jakes “If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion. For your passion will lead you right to your purpose.” She feels with her life experience as a daughter of Alzheimer’s that it has made her a voice for people who want to continue to age in place which has led her to her work today. She is also devoted to helping with Senior Nutrition in the community. In her leisure time she loves travel, theater and music.
Christian has been with the Public Authority for over 2 years since April of 2014 as a Registry Coordinator. He has worked with a number of different populations over the years. This is including but not limited to Mental Health Counseling, Job Coaching, Child Care Counseling, and Probation Corrections for Juveniles, He feels that each of these positions have at least in some way provided him with exposure to a set of experiences that enable him to better understand the diverse populations that we serve on a daily basis. In his free time he likes movies, playing his guitar, also listening to music and attending live concerts
Bilingual Registry Coordinator
Esperanza joined the Public Authority registry in February 2016. She comes with 16 years of experience working with seniors and persons with disabilities in the nonprofit sector. She has managed other private consumer/provider registries. She has a B.S. degree from CSU, Hayward. Esperanza is actively involved in community issues such as transportation, emergency preparedness and senior health & wellness. What she likes most about working at the Public Authority is the constant contact she has with both consumers and providers and the opportunity to provide sound advice to consumers on how to manage the day to day of working with a provider as well as how to be a good supervisor. Esperanza loves teaching and creating new wellness courses for providers and consumers.
Eva has been with Public Authority since January of 2016 as a Registry Coordinator. She has 15 years of experience working with senior population. She is bilingual in English and Chinese. In her free time she likes to spend time with her family.

Before becoming our Health benefits assistant, Brenda worked for many years in Benefits Administration, human resource management, office management, facilities management and event planning. A person with many diverse interests and talents. Brenda has lots of stories to share including some about dancing, and designing and building her own house.

Cheryl Dunn, joined the Public Authority for IHSS in 2009 as the department’s Administrative Coordinator. She’s sometimes the first person you’ll speak to when calling the PA. Cheryl provides support to the entire PA staff, as well as, the Public Authority Advisory Board members (PAAB). Her experience and knowledge of the IHSS program makes her a resource for helping recipients and providers resolve a variety of issues. She’s passionate about legislative issues impacting seniors and people with disabilities, particularly those related to housing. In her free time she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
